Preface to the Preface:

This is both an essay and a Preface for Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!.  All of the essays in this Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! menu have already been packaged into a book titled Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! When you create a book, it needs introductory material. Much of this is packaged in a front matter item called the "Preface."

Front matter comes before all of the other material in the book. Typically nobody wants to pay for Front Matter. When they buy a book, they are mostly interested in just the chapter or essay contents.

Anyway, this is no ordinary Preface. As you may know, the whole book titled Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! is free in this section of the site (you just do not get the paper) . Without having the preface that I wrote for the book, it would really be incomplete.

This Preface does not have the normal marketing material that is put in to sell a book. Instead, this Preface sets the stage for the need for the book by telling the reader (you and I) through a lot more than anecdotal evidence that they better watch out and they better not pout and they better not cry. In this preface I begin to tell you why.  If we don't watch him, the President, disguised as Santa Claus will carry off all our jobs in his bag and give them to somebody he knows.  And none of us will get to town again.  I must have written this originally when it was Christmas time.

It may even be worse with us all feeling the pain of the last seven years. This book and these essays tell you all about the problem and the solution as if it can be solved.  It can!  Yes, I think it can be solved so please read on and pay attention to the things that happen everyday in YOUR LIFE.  Just because it is also happening in Matt Cartwright's life and Barack Obama's life does not mean you should bow out. Your life and my life and the lives of all those who are of good will, need you and I to remain steadfast.  Hey, it's our life too --  We cannot let a monstrously big government take it away!

Book Preface:  Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!

Why did Brian W. Kelly write this book?

Most Americans are aware of the major battle that has been going on from day one of Obama times. On March 21, 2010, when Obamacare passed, all of our lives got worse.  This was the very first reason for why nobody in the administration did anything but pay lip service to the Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! problem.  Obamacare for them came first. There is some good news as we are well into post Obamacare times. New candidates for Congress from both parties planned to repeal and remake healthcare legislation so it would not bankrupt America when each new Congress began.

The irony in all this is that the single biggest jobs killer that passed in the 111th Congress was Obamacare. We are now in the 114th Congress. It passed during a period in which President Barack Hussein Obama had just promised that he was done with his healthcare agenda and he was going to concentrate on Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!  Hah!

How can you tell when a politician is lying?  "Their lips are moving." Obama has become the salesman in chief for Obamacare even long after its passage. The President has had little time for anything but his image. Yet, unfortunately Obamacare is not his only legacy. He is systematically dismantling all of the goodness of America, including our strong military.

The fact is that he has little time for Jobs because he is doing a job on the country.  But what about his promises? To be kind, we can say his promises were  prevarications. Media critics from the past have said that W. C. Fields was so good at lying and kidding and joking that he made prevarication into an art form. The President clearly is an artist.

On the Web, all things are possible. That's not necessarily a lie but it is an exaggeration.  When I went to find the exact meaning of prevarication, the ubiquitous Web delivered big time.  Prevarication is all of three things below and perhaps even more:

    • lie
    • equivocation
    • lying

We intrinsically know the meaning of all of these words but here are their quick hitter definitions from the ubiquitous Web:

    • lie: a statement that deviates from or perverts the truth
    • equivocation: intentionally vague or ambiguous
    • lying: the deliberate act of deviating from the truth

Are you not wondering where the jobs are. There are none. Moreover, Obama does not want you to have one.  He is not going to solve the problem. He is the one making it worse and pretending he is working on it. He wants you to be dependent on the state.  In an Obama-less world, the solutions for jobs could be implemented.  Even with Obama in control, if folks like me, about 435 of us get elected to the House, and another 33 get elected to the Senate this time around, we will be in a position to stop Obama lies and enact legislation that does an awful lot of good such as getting out of the way so American businesses can create jobs in America for US.

The reason why you have not heard about Jobs other than the weekly unemployment charts and an occasional clerks job in Mumbai, is that there are none and the topic of "Jobs" is not on the administration's plate. The State of the Union "focus on jobs" is appearing more and more like a prevarication. Notice the Congress is not challenging the President but going along to get along. Would it not be nice if Congress decided to represent the people. Ask Matt Cartwright if he is proud of his representation for his contituency. If you Congressman is not Matt Cartwright, ask your Congressman.

Alan Caruba in his January 26, 2010 factsnotfantasy.com blogspot hits the nail on the head with a timeless piece. He says:

"If Ronald Reagan was the Great Communicator, then Barack Hussein Obama will be known as the Great Prevaricator... I agree 100%.

Obama is so comfortable telling lies that he no longer knows the difference between the truth, a falsehood, a promise, or a casual slander. Take, for example, his one-time claim that he would rather be a great one-term President than “a mediocre two-term” one. If George W. Bush was not around to blame for his the President's poor decisions, and downright incompetence, Obama would have had to invent him." Here we now have Obama in term 2, and clearly he has given the term mediocre, a bad name.

Around the Web the rumblings indicate that Obama's lies have gotten so egregious that even liberals are holding their breath, willingly placing their hands up in the air, and asking "what the...?"

There is so much on the Web and in the print media and on the news shows about the art of prevarication possessed by the President that perhaps he would be a natural to play W. C. Fields in a biography piece one day. He could wear white-face and could coat his prominent proboscis with just a mere tint of pink. If I look outside and I see that the sky is blue and then I hear Obama say it is a nice day, like many Americans, since 2009, I look again.  I expect the President to be telling a tall tale just about every time I see him in one of his 400+ appearances each year.  I am rarely disappointed.  The reason the jobs picture is so bad has a one word answer: O-B-A-M-A.  and that is not a cheer! Second in line is your friendly C-O-N-G-R-E-S-S.

How about that great Obama book called Obama's Seven Deadly Sins? Whoops, that is one of my books. I meant   Dreams From My Father? After taking advance money twice from two different publishers, and then finally and perhaps miraculously, after years,  Obama got his book out.

Hey, I wrote four books last year and five the year before they all needed some level of research.. If the books were about my father, they might have been one or two weak deals.  Yet Obama's book on his own father could not get written until after Obama began working for Bill Ayers (who you know he did not really know -- shhhh!). You don't think Reverend Wright may have written his book for him, or do you?

Magically the style has been analyzed as almost exactly that of the writings of Obama's boss at the University at the time, a one-time terrorist by the name of Bill Ayers,  If you search the Web long enough, you will find that Bill Ayers actually admits that he wrote the book for Obama.  Ayers uses Obamacode so most cannot tell it is his work. Regardless Obama claim the work as his own. Well, in true Obama-form, he doesn't deny or affirm; he just takes credit. Without credit, somebody else would have to cash the royalty checks. Is that a lie?  Apparently Ayers did not like that part of the President's travails, after the one-time-terrorist, and part-time Obama mentor, was forced to spend some hard time under the bus to protect his favorite student.

How about this famous Obama quote:  "I did not have sex with that woman" -- whoops, that was another eloquent speaker but not Obama.   Sorry!  Regardless, I do hear the best speaking President ever is back at it again since reportedly, a non-blood-relative of our Bubba is now running for President of the US of A..

Tom Blumer, Contributing Editor of Newsbusters has his own opinion of the art of lying possessed by the Great Prevaricator regarding the Obama Report Card on Jobs. He says:  " The bottom line is that Obama lied, and jobs died. The people of Twinsburg know that. The rest of the nation should."

Do you remember this little ditty with just a few facts missing. Blumer writes:

"Shortly after noon on Thursday, April 30, 2009, the President of the United States told the nation that a Chrysler Corporation bankruptcy  'will not disrupt the lives of the people who work at Chrysler or the communities that depend on it.'
...
"Late the next day (i.e., Friday), Detroit reporters digging through voluminous Chrysler bankruptcy documents learned that the company would close plants in four states. One of the plant's closed was Twinsburg's stamping facility, which employed 1,250. Nice timing: Tell a fib on a Thursday, make people look for it and not find it until late on a Friday, at which time few are paying attention."

BTW, not telling the full truth is also a lie.

The Washington Examiner was de-mything the Obama-jobs claims and they have a ton of them on their site.  This little update from  12/1/09 is about how most of them looked:

"Roughly 2,000 new imaginary stimulus jobs have been added to the map, including hundreds of reported Head Start jobs that were actually just pay raises."  Maybe it was just a fib?

Robert Reich is a former Labor Secretary under Clinton (Bubba). He is now a Professor at UC Berkeley.  He knows his stuff but occasionally from my perspective has too much cool-aid brewed from the hard left. Reich actually believes the stuff so he is not a liar. He tries to give the hard left material he receives, a good spin, every chance he can.

He was clearly laboring in a recent article to find something good to say to college seniors about to come out into the business world. The best he could do was that they would probably get jobs but not as good and not with as much promise as days gone by. And, don't expect big pay raises  Reich knows his stuff:

"Since the start of the Great Recession in December 2007, the U.S. economy has shed 8.4 million jobs and failed to create another 2.7 million required by an ever-larger pool of potential workers .... The Great Recession has accelerated a structural shift in the economy that had been slowly building for years. Companies have used the downturn to aggressively trim payrolls, making cuts they've been reluctant to make before. Outsourcing abroad has increased dramatically. Companies have discovered that new software and computer technologies have made many workers in Asia and Latin America almost as productive as Americans, and that the Internet allows far more work to be efficiently moved to another country without loss of control." In 2007, Congress was controlled by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and for seven years after that until today, Barack Obama, a man who admits he hates business, ran the show.

Thank you Mr. Professor, Mr Secretary Reich.  Mr. Reich is not a liar.

Jack Cafferty seems to hate conservatives.  He, like Mr. Reich does not seem to like the "l" word. Nobody expected Jack Cafferty to be throwing his best shots at Obama on any message but like many liberals who are not on the very hard left, Cafferty is not interested in lying and he is not interested in carrying the water for a liar.  Many were very surprised at Cafferty's excoriation of Barack Hussein Obama and the most inept Congress (111th) that God ever permitted to be assembled.

“White House and Democratic leaders in 2010 planned to hold informal, that’s another word for secret negotiations, meant to shut Republicans and the public out of the process. That’s a far cry from the election, when then candidate Obama pledged to “broadcast the negotiations on C-Span so that the American people can see what the choices are...”

“President Obama hasn’t even made a token effort to keep his campaign promises of more openness and transparency in government. It was all just another lie that was told to get elected.”

Thank you for the truth, Mr. Cafferty

Now, Here are a few more notes and quotes about lies and liars. Most of the ones coming up are light but this Preface will end with a very heavy thought.

"Lies are powerful instruments of deception, and the better the liar, the more powerful the instrument."
Brian Kelly -- yep, that's me

"Liars share with those they deceive the desire not to be deceived."
Sissela Bok

"Men are liars. We'll lie about lying if we have to. I'm an algebra liar. I figure two good lies make a positive."
Tim Allen

"All governments are run by liars and nothing they say should be believed."
I. F. Stone

"All pitchers are liars or crybabies."
Yogi Berra

"Anyone who claims to be good at lying is obviously bad at lying. Thus - as a writer myself - I cannot comment on whether or not writers are exceptionally good liars, because whatever I said would actually mean its complete opposite."
Chuck Klosterman

"The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.”
Henry Louis Mencken

Ladies and Gentleman, I regret that the poking of fun is over.  This next note on lying is from the Minister of Propaganda from the Reich (that's not Reisch). This quote is so spooky, it even gives me the creeps.

While you are reading this, ask yourself if a man who was trying to weasel out of saying that his vote in the Illinois Senate to permit infanticide (killing aborted babies because they were not supposed to live) was based on the fact that the child  [may not really be a person right after birth] or [if the out-of-womb surviving child is not a viable person] " is worth any of your time.  Because he is the President, we have no choice of course.  How would Barack Hussein Obama feel about this quote? Perhaps it already is part of his socialist mantra, and that is the spookiest thought of all.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

This spooky quote is from Joseph Goebbels, a man who committed suicide along with his wife, and the Fuhrer and the Fuhrer's "wife," Eva Braun.

When you see him again, you will love him and he will never stop telling you lies.  How can you not like Barry Obama?  How can you not like Barack Obama. He is as nice a man as you would ever meet or so it seems.  I sure hope he is. I wrote this book because he and the Congress are doing nothing about Jobs and I wanted to help all citizens understand that it may very well be that they are just too busy doing other things to care.   I care.

I hope you enjoy this book and I hope that it inspires you to take action to help change the members of the government of the United States by replacing every member of Congress and the Senate (up for reelection) unless you have verifiable statements that they are not responsible for their perpetrations against the people. If you know this and you know that they are not part of the biggest charade of all--that they care about the people being employed in productive jobs with future opportunities, then do what you must do.  I think I have a way to help assure you there is a way out of this. So, if you have any more reading in you, keep going as the answer is ahead.  If not, start with essay # 1 tomorrow.

I wish you the best

Brian Kelly (For Congress)
